At 1:00pm, your private guide will take you on a flavour-packed walking tour through Hanoi’s buzzing Old Quarter. Sample 4–6 local dishes — from sizzling spring rolls to sweet sesame doughnuts — as you explore hidden alleyways, street markets, and local favourites. With your guide leading the way, it’s the perfect introduction to the energy and flavours of Vietnam.

Return to the ship for a laid-back lunch and more time to soak in the views — whether from your balcony, the deck, or the open-air jacuzzi. Day 6 – From the Bay to the Mountains

Then explore the vast Bai Dinh Pagoda — home to giant bronze Buddhas, peaceful courtyards, and panoramic views from the mountain top. After a local lunch, board a traditional sampan boat for a serene ride through Trang An, a UNESCO-listed wonder of winding rivers, jungle-covered karsts, and dramatic caves. If you haven’t yet, the famous Tam Coc boat tour is right on your doorstep. No need to book — just wander down and hop aboard a traditional sampan rowed through caves and jungle-covered karsts.

 

Prefer to relax? Enjoy the views from your hotel, unwind with a massage, or sip Vietnamese coffee in a sleepy riverside café. Whatever pace you’re in the mood for — today, it’s all up to you.

After a midday break to relax and refuel, get ready for one of the highlights of your journey. Around 3:30pm, you’ll be picked up in an open-top vintage Jeep for a countryside adventure through Ninh Binh’s scenic backroads.

 

Cruise past glowing rice fields and lotus ponds as golden hour sets in. Climb to a sunset viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views, then continue on to Hoa Lu Ancient Town, where lanterns glow and evening life unfolds.
